For Sale: 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in Little River, Kansas for sale in Little River, KS
Vehicle Description 1977 Trans Am SE Clone/Tribute.
LS2 swapped with a 4L65 transmission.
This car started out as a Buccaneer Red 6.
6 Trans Am with a hard top.
I switched this to a Fisher T-Top and conducted all the body work myself.
I have done body work for many years and can assure that the top has been switched properly.
This may scare some people off and I understand.
Looks great inside and out with it's cut and polished single stage PPG black paint.
Electric windows and locks (swapped).
15X8 snowflake rims (one slightly bent but don't notice).
This car was left for dead in the weeds and had no drive train when I got it.
Body and interior are stock looking and new.
Dash was almost perfect so there is a cap installed.
Custom Auto stereo installed.
Drivetrain is a 2006 GTO LS2 with 12,000 original miles.
I can't prove this, but I can guarantee it is true.
The transmission is a 2006 GTO 4L65 with 60,000 miles.
Computer and wiring harness purchased from Hotwireauto.
com.
Car has been dyno tuned at LSX Killers in Bonner Springs, Kansas.
400-foot lbs, and 400 horse.
ALL the lock down has been removed in the ECM so now you can destroy the transmission if you want to.
Rear end is 10 bolt 3.
73 factory posi system.
Also, all new.
2 Exhaust with the 2 TA tail tips from Pypes.
Shorty headers.
Series 40 Flowmaster mufflers.
AFCO shocks.
Lowered springs kit from Custom Works Performance in California.
Complete front end rebuild.
Wilwood front brake calipers.
Rear factory drum brakes.
Sub-frame connectors installed.
Roughish ride.
Vintage Air Conditioning installed with a Sanden 508 compressor.
$1200 serpentine assembly.
Be-Kool dual fans installed and comes on with the AC.
Fans are pretty torquey and kind of spikes the 12V system when it comes on and was going to switch to something a little milder.
New OER clock/tach clock runs full time so a battery tender/maintainer is used if sits for extended periods of time.
Gets LOTS of looks.
Restored with TLC 2W87Z7N181804 VIN.
